Hello there:)
May be someone can help.
The plugin browser of Waveform seems to sort plugins only in terms of category or developer.
Is there a way, just to sort them by name, like in all other DAWs?
Cheers

If you're referring to the official Browser on the left of your screen, not really. This is meant to be a quick menu for your presets, which you can customize using the Favourites tag system. I use this solely for presets I've created because it's super fast at that.
A better and more flexible way--and likely exactly what you're looking for--is in the plugin browser to the right (the "+" icon in the upper right corner). Drag that to your track of choice, and a flyout menu appears with all the plugins.
The advantage of this method is this flyout is totally customizable, with the ability to re-order, reorganize, or categorize plugins to your heart's content. Because you can put any plugin you want in more than one folder, you can group them in as many ways as you like.
Here's how to customize that flyout menu:
1. Go to the Settings tab
2. In the left column, click on Plugins
3. A list of all your plugins appears
4. On the far right, look for "Favourite Plugin List"
5. Use the big + button to add a new folder or category
6. Right click on any that are there already to rename, delete, or re-sort
7. Simply drag any plugin from the master list to any folder or category you create. You're only dragging a shortcut to the folder, so don't worry about making mistakes! You're not moving the actual plugin anywhere.
When you go back to any project, you'll see the flyout menu is now customized to your taste. I like this method because I can add a plugin to a manufacturer folder ("Izotope") as well as to a function ("Compressors"). Those are my ideas--you can create any organization scheme you want. In fact, you'll probably reorganize them every so often like I do.
Hoping this is what you need!

Yes, just un-check the "Show Folders" and it will list them all alphabetically in the Browser.classic wrote: Sat Feb 15, 2025 9:16 pm Is there a way, just to sort them by name, like in all other DAWs?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Surely there must be consensus by now...
