MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1: SoundCheck not working in Music app???

Just curious if anyone out there can check to see if SoundCheck is working in their Music app? I just upgraded to 15.3.1 from 13.6.x, and SoundCheck isn't working. Checking and unchecking the option box for it doesn't make any change in the audio, and I have files that I know for a fact should be turned down substantially to hit Apple's -16 LUFS-i target volume.
