Is the core library the same for BFD3.5 and BFD3.4.5.28?

The title says it all; I just would like to avoid a download if I could. With the update, the inMusic Software Center offers a download of the core library as well as the BFD3.5 update. My sense of it says that they are probably indeed the same and the download would be redundant to what I already have.
Does anyone here happen to know for sure? Thanks in advance!

BFD3.5 is actually still in beta.
so anyone that knows is under NDA.
but if you can get to inMusic support page/BFD you may get some insight, looking closely

Maybe it's out of beta as of yesterday? Is this possible? I say this because I definitely opted out of beta testing and I don't think that I would have been alerted to it otherwise. I say this more speculatively than it sounds, but it does strike me as being odd. I've got a few questions/posts out on the BFD site in the attempt to get my question answered about the core libraries being, in fact, the same, but I've heard nothing yet.

It's not showing up in the good ol' BFD License Manager. Are we moving away from that? I don't have or want any other inMusic products, apart from 2getheruadio ones that seem to be mostly absent from inMusic's website.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Right, it shows up in the inMusic Software Center. I can't say for sure, however, that the intent is to move away from BFD License Manager.pough wrote: Sat Feb 22, 2025 4:00 am It's not showing up in the good ol' BFD License Manager. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

If your version history text doc on the disk image from the inMusic installer once downloaded reads 3.5.0.49, that is a beta release.
I don't know what problems the older BFD3 Core Library presents in 3.5. As rumor has it, people have tried it. The listed sizes are very close. There is some change but I can't say what because still in beta.
Is everybody seeing that in inMusic center? If so I suppose we can assume it's a public release. No one told me.

inMusic Support/BFD page was updated early Feb 21.
this is public, so no es problemas: BFD Migration | Frequently Asked Questions
What are the minimum system requirements for BFD3.4?
Is BFD3.4 supported for macOS Big Sur and the new M1 processors?
This page has not been updated to reflect 3.5. I wonder what someone that's not at all in the beta sees from a inMusic installer.

From what you say (and thanks for the alert), I apparently have downloaded a beta. I am a bit disturbed by this as I never signed onto the beta program and was hit by this as if this was a normal final update. At least it seems to work fine so far in Bitwig and Cubase. The only issue so far is that when the program signs on (it now very prominently checks out for your authorizations), the program says that there are two authorizations outstanding (there, in fact, aren't any unauthorized expansions on my computer, so this seems to be a bug. Another gentleman I know on another forum is having exactly the same issue.)jancivil wrote: Sat Feb 22, 2025 5:36 am inMusic Support/BFD page was updated early Feb 21.

This same gentleman informed that the only difference in the core libraries is the existence of a rock tambourine folder and the Yamaha Drum Cases folder. For myself, I'm not too interested; I already have the tambourine and I did have the Yamaha Drum Cases at one point, but never found a use for them. I'll probably let the attempt at the download go (especially given the very slow DL speeds we have here.)
Thanks so much for your comments, Jan!

Anyone know if it's possible to change the zoom on the GUI for 3.5? It all feels too zoomed in now and I can't fit as much on the screen as 3.4 (I've enlarged the window as much as possible).

Doesn't seem possible. This feels like a step back in terms of usability, damn.

How's this going for you? It seems that the connection is almost absurdly unstable. Are you getting that as well?

Wow this doesn't look promising... installed the 3.5 plugin and every single time you insert an instance into a track in the DAW, it will first say "Checking registrations..." and is unusable for ~20 seconds...

Same here. Should be fixed asap, total workflow killer.pchase wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 10:36 am Wow this doesn't look promising... installed the 3.5 plugin and every single time you insert an instance into a track in the DAW, it will first say "Checking registrations..." and is unusable for ~20 seconds...
