Unbalanced Stereo channel levels with mono source?

Hi All,

I cant figure out why when I solo the Snare Top (Mono) and Amb Ribbon (Stereo) channels in the superior drummer mixer the Amb ribbon channel has unbalanced sides?



If the snare top channel is a mono channel, why would the signal in the stereo amb ribbon channel be different levels on each side?

On the Amb ribbon channel I've checked that the only mic bleed is from the snare so don't think it's related to bleed.

Any ideas?

The overheads aren't the same distance to the snare? The drumkit isn't exactly centered in the room?

I'm assuming Ambient Ribbon is a pad? Sometimes it's done this way for phase issues. If it's not a pad, n/m.
