Hi, we have updated our site: https://www.reasonheads.com/
We are a 3rd party community for Reason fans. We have an internet radio that plays music created in Reason and a forum, that has lots of features like refill embed, combinator embed, repatch embed etc. You can even attach mp3's into your posts. A quick shoutbox too.

Come n join the fun!

Hi Hekki

Good to see someone trying. I back you in that bit.

Sadly I think that people don't actually want conversation. They want to dump their sour nothings and ebberyone else should tell them how amazeballz dey iz. When that doesn't happen, snipe at anyone better than them. This has made everywhere pointless. It is how KVR is, how PUF became, what RT made of themselves. None of that is fun.

What I found from trying to moderate in some of these spaces or to start my own: People want that trivial meanness - oddly Reason users seem to want it more/worse than most DAW users. If you moderate properly and keep it about what it should be about, you are called names and no one comes.

So I wish you luck but I don't think this is a Field Of Dreams moment as the players have truly left the field out of fear of that meanness that rises and is never stopped.

I think this is also the nature of Reason current state which is generating bitterness.
Sure, people have a tendency to have naturally unrealistic expectations and feel that because they paid a fee they "owned" the people working inside and are entitled to all critics.
But in the case of Reason, and seeing the pace of progression of Reason features compared to competition, I am not surprised of this bitterness being worst than somewhere else.

Anyway, creating a new forum is an awesome move and I do hope all the success possible for it.
A space for RRP user would be great.

See this is part of the issue, people feel they can make it right to be mean by blaming someone else: RS, Trump, Noddy, Benedict... It is lazy and mean. Sure things happen, but it is up to us how we behave. Reason, and DAW people in general, choose to behave poorly and wonder why they struggle.

Reason is not responsible for our success or otherwise. Failing at our music and blaming RS because they didn't make some arcane feature that prevents us is pathetic. Even more so when that thing is doable if fingers weren't so firmly stuck in fear. This is why Props jettisoned the PUF. Sad as it was a bit wrong, but also they had no option as the mob was calling Props "Nazis" for daring to stop the riot of hate.

Reason is a completely capable DAW with a unique take on the process that I really like. And no I am not a Fanboi or whatever insult is chosen this week. I make my tools work. I have lots to show for my effort. Most who complain have nothing to show - but whining. They won't even go to another workspace and get on with it. Letting this happen is what is wrong with everywhere.

Well, I am used to it now but when I re-started music 5 years ago it was a real (bad) surprise for me.
I didn't expect such toxicity. I was thinking musicians are cooler kind of humans lol... I was very very very wrong.

Ha!
Sadly most people are not actually musicians like Michael Jackson or that guy with the hair from Sweet. Real musicians can be donkeyholes (Dave Mustaine perhaps) but in the end the work is what counts.

Sadly I am not sure it is better. Quieter yes, but it takes so little to still get the rod from the fearful fools who run the show and the majority stay quiet and let it happen.
