PHI MU LABS: ORIGIN is a collection of timbres built from scratch specifically for 6-op FM synthesizers, such as the classic Yamaha DX7 and its software emulations (such as DEXED which, in fact, is where they've been dialled up).

The collection comprises two pairs of banks, 32 patches (128 in total) for use in mono or stereo FM synths, all presented in DX7-compatible SYSEX, as well as Native Instruments FM8 .nfm8 formats.

Expected compatibility: Yamaha DX7, DX7IID/FD, TX7, DX200, TX802, TX816/TF1, DX1/DX 5, MiniDexed, Modded Yamaha DX9, Behringer BX1; also Yamaha FS1R, Korg OASYS and Kronos (courtesy of their MOD-7 engine), Korg Opsix, Preen FM2/FM3, and Yamaha Montage and MODX series syntesizers.

Software options, aside from the self-obvious Digital Suburban DEXED and Native Instruments FM8, include:

Big Tick Audio Rhino, Arturia DX7 V, Plogue chipsynth OPS7, Reason Rack Extension PX7 (conversion required), Audio Nebula Aurora, and Korg opsix Native.
