This showed up on my Youtube feed and I thought it was really interesting. It's about using Melda MAGC to force a track back to it's source dynamics/volume after applying effects.
I could be behind and everyone is already doing something like this. I like the idea of using it on vocal reverb.
Interesting video on imposing gain...

Gain is so crucial for our perception of sounds that I instantly disregard any EQ without good a auto/static-gain compensation. Glad they put an asterisk on the "free" part tho

What do you mean by that?
Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.

I use letimix gainmatch in every session.
Same idea as Magc but a little more refined.
Magc is definitely great though and you can't beat that price!
I can't overstate how useful/consequential these gain matching tools are.
It's so easy to get fooled by things sounding "better" because they're louder.

Thanks a lot for this. One of my favourite features in Unfiltered Audio's Byome is the unusual 'dry following' AGC, which behaves a lot like this at its highest setting. I'd often wished I could have that alone as an effect to use elsewhere, and this seems to fit the bill perfectly.
