Mouse Wheel scrolling on a Mac

I'm currently using a Logitech G305 gaming mouse with a Macbook Air.
Firstly, I noticed the scrolling direction with the mouse wheel is opposite to Windows. No big deal, I downloaded the Scroll Reverser app and changed it. It only affects the mouse so my track pad still works as standard. Cool.
Then I'm noodling around in Logic Pro, and I notice that using the mouse wheel on a plugin parameter (say turning a knob on a compressor) is now working backwards. Scroll up turns it down, etc.
Basically, using Scroll Reverser has inadvertantly borked the scroll wheel direction for plugin faders/knobs.
So what's the best way to use a gaming mouse on a Mac? Shall I just get used to the native scrolling direction? Buy a Magic Mouse?

You don't need an app for that. Reversing scroll direction is one of the settings for mouse, or gestures, or wherever it is.

You could use devices that has settings for each process, so adapt however you want.J Veronica wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 8:30 pm So what's the best way to use a gaming mouse on a Mac? Shall I just get used to the native scrolling direction? Buy a Magic Mouse?

I use Shuttle Express for left hand and can configure for each application as I please. Daws one set of buttons and functions on each function, jog wheel, ring around jog wheel, buttons etc.
Maybe the larger Pro version would fit you better.
One way to get more productive....and mouse is still there using that....

Changes to the Mouse scrolling in System Settings also change the Track Pad setting too. At least on Sonoma.BertKoor wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 9:07 pm You don't need an app for that. Reversing scroll direction is one of the settings for mouse, or gestures, or wherever it is.
