Still so very purple. But aweome nonetheless.
Having owned and used Kick2 (now Kick3) for years, I wondered if I had much use for Kick Drum but one can actually get quite different results from the two synths so yep, it's worth it. Audija seems much better at super clean, clicky kicks. Probably prefer the workflow in Kick3 but that's just familiarity. I would probably suggest Audija to anyone who doesn't yet own any kick synth.

Hi Jan,
I got excited when I saw that there was a new BETA
I just downloaded it and will try what's new there.
Just a quick feedback - it would be nice if the changelog page was available under the plugin page (https://audija.com/changelog/1 I have it bookmarked, but newbies won't find it, same as the manual - it's there but where?).
Of the things I've thought about, I'd like to have the ability with KickDrum:
- Change/modulate parameters from within the DAW. Not just velocity.
The little elephant in the room - there is already wavetable and now ADSR, what about mod matrix & FM (osc2>osc1 for starters) because KickDrum has long ago moved on from being a tool for making kick drum sounds

the changelog link is in the lower right corner of the kickdrum image, on plugins page or user account.Dznwpplp wrote: Sun May 11, 2025 8:30 am Hi Jan,

modulating paramters from the DAW in realtime other then velocity and the envelope is not something, that currently makes sense in KD, at least not yet, cpu's are to slow for this currently, as KD is not working like a regular synth, it's a crossbread of a sampler and a synth. while a normal synth provides new audio per block to the DAW allowing (almost) realtime manipulation from the DAW, whereas in KD when you change a parameter in the ui the whole kick is calculated through with all signal path stages and the final sampled kick is then streamed into the audio blocks of the DAW, when a note is hit. advantages:
-full output lookahead without latency at note playback allowing for:
--true peak autogain
--no delay linear phase filtering
--free zero crossing placement of the oscillator phase (place phase start at the end of the kick, to lock a zero crossing at the end to get perfect transition into the bassline)
--reverb with negative predelay
--maniupulating the whole kick or parts of the signal paths as sample, stretching, trimming or freely placing them
--and other else impossible things that would need full output lookahed.
downside:
calculating the whole kick at the precision it's currently done in a seperate async thread would need super fast cpus to be fast enough to always generate a new kick for the current state of the DAW automation. so we probably need to spare DAW automations for the time, when cpus work on light rather then on electricity, but that's probably 10 years or so in the future, according to latest tec
i think this is a very exciting approach to audio generation, as with faster cpus it will make realtime automation manipulation possible with full audio project lookahead, allowing to eliminate plugin delay entirely. imagine pro-q4 with maximum linearphase, but no delay - exciting times...
