Hi,

this is a very strange one - on my music workstation PC (win 10 pro) the latest Melda installer can't connect to melda productions server - while other online plugin managers i own (ReFx, UVI, Native Access and various others) connect perfectly.
Also - the Melda Production website can't be accessed either on that PC - tried it with 3 browsers.
The strange thing is - it's the ONLY website i can't access on that PC - all other websites work perfectly, be it Google, YouTube or whatever website. I even temporarily turned off my firewall - still no luck.
Even more strange:
I also have a Macbook connected to the same network - and on that one i can access the Melda production website just fine (which is where i downloaded the latest Melda Installer).

Can you please advise? Thanks so much in advance.

Does the problem still persist? It looks to me like our web server might have been temporarily down at that time. Have you entered https://www.meldaproduction.com into the browser's URL text field?

Hi Martin,

Thanks for getting back to me. No - it's not your servers - read above. And yes, it's still persistent - i cannot call up your website on my music pc as well as the melda installer can't connect. again - i can on the other hand perfectly access your website on my mac book, which is connected to the same network and stands right beside me. And yes, the url is correct - https://www.meldaproduction.com.

Try these troubleshooting Steps:

1. Check DNS Resolution,
Open Command Prompt (cmd) and run: nslookup www.meldaproduction.com
Compare the output with the same command on your MacBook.

If different, try changing your PC’s DNS to Google’s (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare’s (1.1.1.1).

2. Flush DNS and Reset Network Stack

Run the following commands in Command Prompt (as Admin):

ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset

Restart your PC and check again.
3. Check Hosts File

Open C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts with Notepad (as Administrator).

Look for any entry related to meldaproduction.com and delete it if found.

4. Disable VPN/Proxy

If you're using a VPN or proxy, disable it and test again.

Run: netsh winhttp show proxy

If a proxy is set, try disabling it with: netsh winhttp reset proxy

5. Test with a Different Network

If possible, connect your Windows PC to a mobile hotspot and see if the issue persists. If it works fine, your router/modem may be blocking the Melda Production server.

6. Check Firewall & Security Software

Even if the firewall was turned off, check if any antivirus software (e.g., Norton, Bitdefender) is blocking access.

7. Manually Ping and Traceroute

Run: ping www.meldaproduction.com

If it fails, try: tracert www.meldaproduction.com

This will show where the connection is getting blocked.

If none of the above work, try accessing the site through a different user account on the same PC or even in Safe Mode with Networking to see if something in your user profile is causing the issue. And good luck:-)

Hi Martin, I'm experiencing the same problem. Was the issue ever identified?

The issue above looked like our servers were temporarily down that time or users security settings (firewall / antivirus) did blacklist our server on that particular machine. No other report like this from that time. We did add also quite a lot of improvement to the networking stack from that time. What is your OS and DAW? Do you use any antivirus / firewall? Also what is your location. You can email me directly to martin@meldaproduction.com and we can check more in detail if you want.
