I am not sure how Positive Grid is doing since BIAS FX2 has not been updated for I think over a year.
They seem focused on their Spark amp series.
I think the market for guitar amp sims is getting saturated and going through a revolution with NAM.
How many users will be willing to pay for full amp sims vs others going for free with NAM.
There are differences of course and I personally prefer using BIAS FX2 than NAM stuff.
I hope PG comes up with BIAS FX3 and goes beyond skeuomorphism and hardware reproduction.
If it could bring both IRs and also offer some of the modernity seen in non-guitar software, say Kilohearts, Serum, etc.. to help shape guitar sounds of the future, it would be awesome. And act as an awesome multi-fx ...
Back to BIAS Amp 2, it is also a brilliant piece of software for creating amps and is good value for money IMO.
Has PG got the resources and vision to bring it to the next level? I'm certainly waiting and hoping for it. Especially if they can integrate their software apps within their Spark hardware and controls, there's great potential there too.
