Tribute song to my friend and bandmate who passed away recently. The piece was recorded on Chapman Stick with separate tracks for the melody and bass sides of the instrument. Zendrum (Toontrack Jazz SDX) was added followed by piano, violin (Audio Modeling Violin 3 played on LinnStrument), and guitar (PRS S2 Vela Semi Hollowbody) for the second solo.

jcub,
Sorry to hear about your friend. Your song has very good audio quality. All you need is to have Donald Fagan to sing on it, and you have yourself a Steely Dan song (a compliment)! High quality stuff; very nicely played. Rather jazzy, but not too abstract; nice melodies. Is that you on guitar? I will be starting a new thread on this forum in a few minutes; perhaps you can check it out.

Thanks for the kind words. I am playing the guitar which just makes an appearance for one of the solos.

Outstanding piece! And a fitting tribute to your friend (or anyone, for that matter).

Thanks for posting that.
