Oberheim TVS Pro

From their site:
At the heart of the TVS Pro are two fully modelled SEMs, each offering:
  • Two VCOs with pulse and sawtooth waveforms
  • The legendary Multi-Mode Filter
  • Two ADS envelope generators
  • One LFO
Every component has been carefully emulated to preserve the character and nuance of the original instrument—right down to the subtle analogue inconsistencies that gave it life. The result is the most faithful SEM emulation available, wrapped in a duophonic architecture that allows for complex, organic interactions between voices. We’ve also added a 3rd VCO which can be an LFO too, velocity and aftertouch which weren’t on the hardware, per SEM.

We’ve even included over 400 converted patches from the GForce SEM, alongside 220+ brand-new sounds—giving you immediate access to a world of characterful tones.
From the demos it sounds interesting.
I never owned any of these synths they published (except the Bass Station, that i still own 8) ), but in my opinion GForce has made some of the best sounding plugins - for my taste at least! :hihi:

Maybe it is GForce answer to the latest release from Behringer The 2-XM :)

Wow these guys are really recycling their synths like I've never seen before. How many different products can you make a cut down ob-e into. I guess we're at 4 now? Not counting the ob-x and ob-1.

Its cheaper than the one voice and has the sequencing… For a reason they put all but the other SEMs on sale…

They really started milking Oberheim after OB-X...

Can't say I blame them, I guess. They sound really good.

Why didn't they just make a Korg Maxi-Korg 800DV instead? Dave has one already

Where do I sign?

For those "complaining" about recycled synths, the (intro) price is about the same as a soundpack (220+ new sounds) for any other synth. And you'll get a the synth as a bonus, so I don't mind.

GForce is almost always at 50% off. If someone pays more than that they got really unlucky with their timing.

Post

It is indeed time for something new from GForce, but as an existing Oberheim customer TVS Pro is as cheap as a sound pack. Given GForce presets are normally decent, seems like a nice offer.

Post

Although the TVS Pro is currently 50% off, it would still be nice if GForce offered an upgrade path to users of one of their SEM products. Because, from what I can tell, TVS Pro doesn't add anything new other than the sequencer, which is not something I would ever use. I would instead use the new pattern sequencer in Cubase 14 to create instrument loops.

Would it not be nice if the GForce dev team focused on something other than Oberheim?
My "issue" is not the price. It is time and energy lost on something that could have been, I guess.

For the record, I'm a big fan of GForce. Love their synths and how they sound.

Fun fact: one of my favorite producers uses GForce all of the time, and used a GForce preset for this track, see if you can notice it: That album achieved #1 on the US Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Pretty cool to me. Have always thought that GForce presets are some of the best in the game.
