For years the name of this band kept popping up in Progressive Rock circles.

I was always tempted to try them but thought "why take a chance".

Last week I ordered their DVD: Live Lex from Amazon.com. after reading buyers reviews.

Am I ever glad I did.

This band blows me away, these musicians are fantastic and very talented.
Mellotron, Organ, etc, great guitar and bass playing, drumming and vocals harmony is spot on.

At times I caught shades of old tyme Yes, a little Spock's beard-Echolyn type stuff but very new and fresh sounding.

In the beginning I found some of the solo keyboard stuff a bit cliched but not for long, everything just blends together so well.

Definitely one of my new favorites.

There are some sound clips available here:

I visited their site but tbh they leave me ice-cold - I think they just aren't good composers - no hooklines, no beautyful melodies - I listened to a ten minute track of which for me not a single minute was worthwhile :-o :?

they can play and arrange - that's obvious - but a good song needs more than that be it prog rock or any other style :)

They're from my home town (Chattanooga, TN) and have been doing this type stuff in the land of the honky-tonk for years. Great devotion to vision, I'd say.
