Herard from others (I'm no user myself) there seems no way to opt out, other than stop using their service.SoundCloud Terms of Use wrote: In the absence of a separate agreement that states otherwise, You explicitly agree that your Content may be used to inform, train, develop or serve as input to artificial intelligence or machine intelligence technologies or services as part of and for providing the services.

SoundCloud has unilaterally updated their Terms of Use. Are you OK with this?

Thanks for posting this, time to switch platforms then (not sure to which one though, something that doesn't have an AI goblin feeding on your music).

I'm kinda impressed with the way Soundcloud has managed to find new ways to alienate the people who got its platform off the ground in the first place by first trying to ape Spotify and now telling the creatives who are still there after all this: "hey, let's rip off your stuff for our profit, it's cool right?"
This also seems a great way of running off those artists with label deals who use Soundcloud for mixes and demos.
Maybe the people behind it have some cunning plan like The Producers where they make bank by burning it to the ground.

Yep, I heard about this elsewhere, and logged in for the first time in a couple of years to delete my account.
Most of the plays I was getting were demos of Eurorack modules from 2019-2020. My actual music got some listens but they never seemed to translate into Bandcamp anyway; people listening on Soundcloud just seemed to stay on Soundcloud.

Damn! Thanks for this info. I had been wondering about this.
I'm most definately against A.I. training on my music. My music is quirky enough and I'm definately not popular. We don't need mainstream culture stealing our hard working ideas while they reject us all at the same time. I'm switching to https://hearthis.at I guess, if I can. Back in the earlier 2000s that's where a lot of musicians went when SoundCloud was first pissing people off.

Their AI clocked a sample I used. Pretty good because it was tore up.
