'Sup, Dirk buddies!
Has to be the "Do It" release (dark cover with girl). This release was reissued on CD by Sony in the early 90's (but FYI, the version of Cartrouble is close to the original but not exact, and isn't the remix version that was on the later Epic re-release). I spent $40 for it on ebay a few years ago. The remix/re-release on Epic that included Xerox and Whip In My Valise and dropped Catholic Day and Day I Met God is not as good.
Great album, I don't know why it doesn't get more love.
I've been listening to it for 25 years now and still love it. I'll never forgive Malcom McLaren for stealing the band and taking them to Bow Wow Wow.

No you aren't. It's consistently in my top 5 albums and it's DEFINITELY one of my desert isle discs.intel wrote:am I the only one that thinks this is a brilliant album?

I picked up a newer reissue that has the original Do It tracklist, as well as the B-sides (Physical, et al) and the Epic tracks.mn wrote:Has to be the "Do It" release (dark cover with girl). should be strung up by his yarbles. I can forgive him for a lot of things (You've Got Hands, included), but I can't forgive him for that heinous misdeed to music.I'll never forgive Malcom McLaren for stealing the band and taking them to Bow Wow Wow.

"Antmusic for sexpeople sexMusic for Antpeople"
"Today stuart Goodard aka Adam Ant was arrested and booked for attacking a Pub owner after being throw out of said pub. Police arrested Goodard and he was taken for psychatric evaluation"
or something to that effect a year or so ago....not sure what came of it.
But if you dont think he was good. a few people in the industry do....Trent Reznor did a cover of Physical as a hidden track on the Broken ep

Awesome name. No I don't have any, but I'm listening to some now at strawberry switchblade.net. I like that stuff from 1984 Robin Millar sessions like "Secrets". Thanks for the tip.xoxos wrote:from the same era, anyone have strawberry switchblade? :p
Yeah. I love it too, Kings is a great album. I even like Prince Charming. Picasso Visits The Planet of the Apes? wtf?Manc Chris wrote:Yes great 'pre popstar' ants album. However - I still love the cheese fest that is the Kings Of The Wild Frontier album.
There's also NIN live versions of Red Scab, Beat My Guest, and Physical with Adam and Marco floating around.evolasme wrote:But if you dont think he was good. a few people in the industry do....Trent Reznor did a cover of Physical as a hidden track on the Broken ep
intel, there's a pretty good set of boots called Who Taught You v1 and v2 that has some great Dirk era stuff on it, worth tracking down.
