How is it?
I have created two tickets asking for support for the roto-control and got no answer yet.
More than one week has passed since the last ticket. The first one has more than two weeks.

Early on it was good, then it fell apart and now I'm not sure it exists in any real way. I submitted a bug where I found that regular aftertouch works fine, but polyphonic aftertouch only controls half the range, and I've never really heard back from them.
What's your problem with the Roto-control?

The app does not let me to customize ableton live racks, though it shows a message on the app screen saying it can be configured. It lets me customize VSTs and native ableton live devices/ plugins, though. But not racks. And some other little annoyances. The app feels very undercooked, like a beta or something. It seems they are promising more than they can deliver. I have shell out almost 500 euros for piece of kit that does not make what is advertising.

Yeah I have been following the various forums about the Nina (as I just can't get that juicy sound out of my head!) and saving up to possibly purchase one.. but it seems relatively clear that Melbourne Sound needs to expand and get more support staff and management really needs to understand just how important good support is. I'm sure I'm not alone in doing some investigation before dropping 4000 Euros on a synth.
It's quite unfortunate as their Synths and the Roto-control has such ridiculous amount of potential.

Agreed, but that said, it's a banging sounding synth, and so far I've not come across anything that I'd consider a deal breaker. I do find things funny, like if you go to the Nina page, it clearly states that it has sample playback, which it in no way does. I pointed this out to support, and it's been many months and no one's felt the need to delete that bit of text from the site.bmanic wrote: Tue May 20, 2025 7:11 pm Yeah I have been following the various forums about the Nina (as I just can't get that juicy sound out of my head!) and saving up to possibly purchase one.. but it seems relatively clear that Melbourne Sound needs to expand and get more support staff and management really needs to understand just how important good support is. I don't feel worried about owning it, like I did my Modal 002, which I also loved the sound of. The fairly frequent crashes made me wonder if at some point I'd end up with a very expensive doorstop. The Nina is very stable.

That's awesome to hear! Yeah, I'm probably going to end up getting one at some point because I just can't find anything even remotely in the same ballpark when it comes to the basic sound. I don't know what they did but whatever it is, I like it a lot! I had the unfortunate luck of seeing one in a local shop so naturally having 15 minutes free time I just had to play with it.. big mistake!!

Yeah, the first time I saw a demo, it didn't seem super impressive and I sort of dismissed it as a decent synth that had the motorized knobs as a gimmick. Then I saw a demo that just floored me. I did a bit more research and saw that it checked all my boxes and I ordered it. I've never regretted it, even though it's got a few rough edges.bmanic wrote: Tue May 20, 2025 10:00 pm That's awesome to hear! Were your tickets related to the new midi controller that they released? Curious about the support on ithcv242 wrote: Fri Jul 04, 2025 1:15 am Still no reply for my two tickets. The Melbourne instruments guy just took our money and run

Roto-control 2.0 firmware has been released. Saw a post about it in instagram and commented the bad product support.
Melbourne instruments dm me in instagram asking me with what email have i contacted them.
It seems there is support, after all.

As long as you had no answers from them, you did not get any support.
So from your POV there is no support. Yet.
Which is bad unfortunate.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
