I’m excited to share that I’ve just released my first commercial preset pack for Serum 2. This is a 50-preset collection focused on ambient music, with patches ranging from deep, evolving pads and spectral basses to plucks, leads, soundscapes, and experimental textures. Each preset includes 8 custom macros for intuitive shaping and real-time expression.

I created this pack with care and intention, aiming to make something both musically inspiring and sonically unique for those working in ambient, cinematic, or downtempo spaces. If you’re curious or want to take a listen, here’s the link:

These are absolutely gorgeous patches Chris! And I wouldn’t expect anything less from you, based on your previous releases. There’s solid basses for building a track from the ground up, and heavenly pads that sound like instant Zen. They’re all great starting points with plenty of macro assignments for tweaking and customization.

My own music and synth programming has leaned towards a more ambient and cinematic style over the last few years. So your YouTube tutorials have been a wonderful source of inspiration and technical knowledge on the genre’s unique production techniques.

In addition to your countless Vital tutorials, and interesting ways to create glitchy percussion loops, I also appreciate the way that you discuss the importance of one’s mindset, and how important it is to maintain a healthy balance in all areas of life. It all plays a specific role in the kind of art and music that we put out into the world. And it all begins with intention.

“Intention” is a principle that you often bring up in your videos. To me, intention is a fundamental building block for all of my creative endeavors, including those that don’t involve music. A great example is our personal level of enthusiasm and our willingness to share our knowledge with those who want to learn.

Your enthusiasm is very contagious (in a good way, of course), and I’ve learned some very important skills that I apply to my own music on a regular basis. As a bonus, many of the ideas and strategies that you’ve shared with your audience, have improved my own creative thought process as well.

So I encourage you to keep putting your positive vibes out there, along with the educational material and synth patches. It’s a great combination that I find refreshing in such a polarized culture. Peace! :tu:

Thanks so much for taking the time to write that. Intention really is the foundation for everything I do, so it means a lot that it stood out to you. I try to carry that mindset into both the sound design and the educational side, so it’s great to hear that it’s had an impact. I’m glad the patches are working for your ambient and cinematic direction. Keep creating and feel free to share anything you build with them! :phones:

That’s funny, I had the exact same reaction the first time that I wanted to purchase some synth patches on BandCamp. When you purchase the song, you’re also buying the patches along with it.

The patches come in a .zip file that you can download right away. The songs with presets are around $10 to $15. And you get somewhere around 50-120 presets per pack.

The programming leans towards useable sounds that can work well in an ambient and cinematic musical context. There are also more experimental patches that definitely cross over into unique sound design territory.

We use bandcamp for all of our distribution so technically it's an "album" but if you look in the description it says that it comes with all the presets and extras as a bonus file.

"In addition to the demo track, one .zip file with the presets, documentation, FX presets, and wavetables are included with your purchase."
