Hi

I had a chance to try the Haken continuum and really liked it. The only thing that I was bothered with and was unresolved is a weird pan that followed the playing surface (if you play the right side of the surface the sound was was panned hard right and left side of surface was panned hard left).

Is this possible to turn off?

Thanks
BB

You can probably find that out yourself:

Yeah I skimmed the guide thru, but still uncertain. Would love if somebody could confirm if its a global feature or is just a preset related.

At this point I suspect its apreset related feature.

I have heard you can all kinds of custom things with sounds with the engine but that the learning curve is steep. Assigning pan to note number is not a hard concept, but would take time to do because it is all numeric assignments across the key range.

I've listened to so many demos where it doesn't do that, so I'm pretty sure it's not built into the instrument. Just look at a bunch of demos.

And if all else fails, it's always solvable (maybe even easiest) with your mixer: pan both left & right channels to the middle.

yea thanks! I suspect it was a feature of the preset (violin-viola).
