Crossroads for Filterverse comprises 120 tagged patches which transform the incoming audio signal into ambient, rhythmic, cinematic and experimental textures usable for numerous areas of application. Deeply exploring the multi-effect and synthesis capabilities of this plug-in, many presets use tempo-synced modulators creating groovy and organic rhythmic textures, often the envelope follower is engaged to supply dynamic interaction with the audio signal, audio rate modulation via Filterverse's inbuilt oscillator provides highly interesting and futuristic sounds, physically modeled string arpeggios, vast spaces, pitch-shifted delays, time-warped glitch and stutter effects, granular textures, mellow choruses and smooth filter sweeps add to the versatile complexity of this expansion.

All presets make extensive use of the available modulators and have one or more Macros assigned for direct interaction and DAW automation. The patches are programmed 100% wet for the purpose of inserting Filterverse on a bus, that way several audio sources can be processed by the same instance of the plug-in; using a pre-fader send is recommended so that the output and send levels can be set and automated independently.

You can view/download the PDF for this expansion with installation instructions, technical notes, the licence agreement and a detailed patchlist including demo links here.

Your initial demo sounds cool, and Filterverse is an excellent plug-in! Should be a great pack! 8)

Simple drum beat processed by the preset “Warped Beats“from Crossroads, demo starts dry, then the wet signal fades in. Some Filterverse Macro automation in Logic.

Improvising with a Celtic Harp (Pianoteq) straight into Filterverse using the preset “Submerged Keys“ from Crossroads, Filterverse Macro automation performed in a second pass. Demo starts dry.

In light of recent events...

Four instances of Filterverse using presets from Crossroads, processing one or more of the involved instruments (Vocals, darabuka loops, kick, hand cymbals/chimes). Plenty of Filterverse Macro automation, some volume automation balancing the dry/wet signals. Track starts dry, then the wet signals fade in.

Your ethnic demo quickly slides into FSU territory, and shows the sound-mangling potential with the help of a little automation. Filterverse is so much more than just a filter.

SFX creators and Psytrance producers will feel especially at home with this powerful multi-effect! Another wild demo, and I’m looking forward to release day for the first batch of presets. 8)

Thanks. I did get carried away with mangling that vocal phrase with the new Time Warp module which is part of the next Filterverse update to be released soon. This plugin keeps on giving!

I’ve been experimenting with the Tempolay module for rhythmic granular delays, and then combining that with the Space module for silky reverb washes. The versatility is out of this world!

I’m excited to hear about another module being added in a future update. Without giving away any privileged information, is the new Time Warp module something similar to the Time node in BEAM 2.0? Does it include buffer-shuffling and time-stretching? Thanks Simon :tu:

Yes, tempo-synced buffer size (from 1/32 up to 8 bars, grain size (1/256 - 4 bars), grain position within the buffer, grain shape, time stretching (direction) is linked to pitch though, reversing the grains is also possible. Modulating all these parameters yields pretty complex and interesting results and the sound quality is pristine. There are more modules included but I'll shut up now 😀

Okay, now that was effing awesome! :o Wow, their stretcher is really high-quality. When I get some time, I’ve got to experiment with running some vocals through Filterverse.

Up until now, I’ve been mostly using it with rhythmic material and twisting synth bass sequences. I haven’t seen any information about the next update on social media. So thanks for sharing some killer examples here! :tu:

I think one of the devs did a live video stream on YouTube some days ago presenting the new modules, it's linked on their Discord channel somewhere.

Video demo for “Crossroads“ featuring two presets (Granular Summer/Sweeping Space), one of them making use of three of the new modules introduced in Filterverse version 1.2 (Time Warp / Barber Pole / Fibonacci Chorus)

Processing distorted harp layered with e-bowed guitar with a preset from Crossroads for Filterverse - demo starts dry, then the bus sends of both instruments are opened, Macro automation (reverse delay pitch) in Logic.
