LABS is broken after migration

I migrated to a Mac Studio and it looks like LABS has completely been reset. None of my sample libraries that I previously downloaded show up. It’s like an empty slate and they’re asking for subscription.

Spitfire no longer supports the old LABS but apparently you can download LABS+ and use all the free libraries, and only pay if you want the additional content: viewtopic.php?t=612176

You may be able to install the free LABS from here: https://labs.spitfireaudio.com/download

I would try that, and see if it loads free LABS.

Spitfire says "If you have an issue or need help with LABS, please contact us." I emailed Spitfire when LABS+ first launched and Morgan responded quickly, but I kept the old LABS and no longer open the old installer in case it auto-updates.

Assuming we are actually talking about Spitfire Labs my experience recently was that somehow I'd also lost most of my original paid libraries. When I installed the app it seems that some of the paid libraries are now free and some seem to have disappeared.

Never used them much so not a great loss but still.

Thank you, I'll try this. I'd be genuinely disappointed if LABS didn't work. It's one of the best (if not the) freebie sample libraries out there.

I recently "upgraded" to the new version of Spitfire LABS (installed the new version on my new Win 11 computer). I *believe* you can still use all the old free libraries without paying for a subscription. (I think I was able to download and install them, pretty painlessly through the LABS interface, but I haven't really tried to use them.)

Repairing all the libraries did the trick!

LABS had one of the worst, oddest install processes ever, but tbh the only thing in all that I found useful was the felt piano, so it's no loss to me really...

The Frozen Strings are really good too. I gave up when it went LABS+ though, as it was all a bit of a mess. I'll wait and see whete its heading further down the line, especially with the Splice buyout.

Minor quirk: repair actually downloads + installs the library regardless of whether you have it.
