We’re happy to announce AutoBeat 2, a significant upgrade to our on-device MIDI beat generator plugin. Now with a cleaner interface and powerful new tools for beat-makers, AutoBeat 2 requires no internet connection, subscriptions or credits—just install and go.
Key Features
- On-Device AI Generation: Create up to 16-beat sets (intro, verse, chorus, etc.) or single-beat snapshots, in any style—even random or mixed.
- Advanced Editing: 12-track editor with step, velocity, ratchet, timing-offset controls, plus copy/paste/clear for individual beats or bars.
- MIDI Integration: Fully customisable note-mapping per pad/track, real-time input for triggering or playing, plus mute/solo/select per track.
- Workflow Enhancements: Lock/regenerate parts of a set, built-in randomiser, drag-and-drop MIDI export into your DAW.
Formats: Mac (AU & VST3) | Windows (VST3)
14-day trial: https://www.axart.net/autobeat
Feedback and questions are welcome!

This is great.
With all due respect, the first version of this was a little bare bones but this is a substantial update in every way.
I have a bunch of drum plugins like Battery, Drum spillage, Tal Sampler that lack a sequencer and have been looking for something relatively light weight to drive them.
This basically covers every base.
Great work.

Presumably this has provision for odd time signatures?

Does this generate fills as well? Or just beats?

Hi, the algorithm does generate some fills and you can add/edit your own with the step editor. We are working on an improved algorithm for 2.1.0 though that will include more automatic fills.

Thanks for the feedback and the suggestion!seangm wrote: Wed Jul 09, 2025 8:01 pm Another vote for odd time signatures, at least something like 3/4 or 6/8 would be awesome.

A question, are the Mac and Windows versions different purchases? Askins since there are two different purchase links on Gumroad. But in the description on both links there is this line, "Supports VST3 and AU plugin formats (macOS and Windows)".
Mac Mini M4 Pro | 14 Cores (10P/4E) | 48GB RAM | Studio One | Reason | Bitwig Studio | Logic Pro | FL Studio | Cubase Pro | Waveform | Reaper | Renoise | ~1000 VSTs/AUs | ~350 REs

Yes, they are two different purchases. On Mac AutoBeat can be installed either as a AU and/or VST3 plugin, whereas on Windows it can be installed as a VST3.starflakeprj wrote: Thu Jul 10, 2025 9:02 am A question, are the Mac and Windows versions different purchases?
