I'm curious what convolution reverb plugins/daws or commercial libraries offer non-proprietary factory impulse response libraries or ones that can be converted to non-proprietary formats like wav or flac.
For example, melda and kilohearts libraries are both I think it was flac. Waves can be converted (at least in parts). Convology xt or eastwest spaces is to my knowledge proprietary without conversion possibilities to my knowledge. Cubase impulse responses are locked into a vstsound file.
I might get other ones to build a bigger impulse response library, but as the plugin prices are in part
for the work involved to create the impulse responses, I wouldn't want these to be locked into a product in case the plugin is abandoned.
Does anyone have more experience with this?

You can sample an IR of an IR very easily if you want to have everything in one plugin. I keep a wav backup of all my IRs but dump them all into altiverb so they all are accessible where I want them. I think that altiverb uses proprietary files, but I never checked. I've dumped IRs into wavs from a few products I to altiverb. I used a very simple impulse capture method to do so.

I don't really want to sample those libs that have decided to the impulse responses it down. Instead, I want to give those companies money that have decided to not lock anything down and still have high quality content
