Three Tagelharpas

Post

One of the guys we recorded Three Tagelharpas with got a new one last year, with additional sympathetic resonance strings and a generally nicer instrument. So we sampled this one also (and it had already appeared in Strange String Summer last year in the C drone instrument samples, though that was tuned down and here it has its normal D and A drones). We sampled rebows because people asked for those; more range on the lower strings because this one has a somewhat longer scale making it easier to play in higher positions; and screechy sul pont because it's fun. Like Three Tagelharpas, there's true legato and ascending portamento, shorts and tremolo again, but no descending portamento or textures because, well, those didn't feel terribly useful.

Oh, and also, sforzando version 1.981 lets you keyswitch in the middle of a legato phrase without that keeping the next legato transition from triggering, so you can swap freely between legato, portamento, rebows and crescendo. This isn't a feature of this specific sample library, and this sforzando update also improves Three Tagelharpas, Hadzi-Fia and Hadzi-Hevi, Turkish Rebab and (to a lesser degree, because it only has two vowels) Hster.

So here's the walkthrough.

And, yes, it can play Cole Porter.

$9 intro price until August 23, $19 regular price.

...so a larger number have already bought this than bought Karniszbass in over a month. Heh. Not entirely surprising.
