TEMU parts, what parts are decent enough to get there?

I need a couple of chassis plugs for a couple of cabinets, some contacts which fits the speakers, and a lot of wire. Not many dealerships here have things like that. I might find the contacts and wires in a car parts shop, not the chassis plugs though and they are expensive. I found some on TEMU for a small fraction of the price, and I wonder if they are good enough, for home use at least, or if they are liable to lessen the quality of the sound? Also, the AlNiCo V pickups they have are dirt cheap. I have a really cheap Ibanez I was originally planning on modding, and the pickups are awful, that's not going to go much further though. If the pickups TEMU sells are sounding not too far from the AlNiCo V pickups in Squire CV guitars, it's good enough

For speaker wire, you can use power cables. You just need it to be fairly heavy gauge. TEMU wire and connectors won't hurt the sound, though.

The pickups should be fine. Aside from the look, I'm fond of the quadruple rail humbuckers. I wire each side in parallel and then wire them together in series.

Anyway, the jack chassis from Switchcraft which are the only I have found available here, are about 8 quid each, and an additional 15 quid for shipping. At TEMU I have found similar looking plugs for a a couple of quids and apparently free shipping

Are they regular jacks or switching? I’ve had no problems with regular jacks from China. Chinese switching jacks are bad, though, and I use Switchcraft for those.

Hmm, let's see...

Cable is rated for the amperage.
Say such cable is good for up to 250 Watts. With 240 Volts that means 1 Ampere.

One ampere it is then. With a speaker cabinet of 8 Ohm that means you get 8 Volts and 8 Watts as well. Easy on the neighbours.

To get say 120 Watts out of this 8 Ohm cabinet, you need 31 Volts & 3.8 Ampere. This 4 Ampere on 240 Volts would be roughly 1000 Watts. That is a different category of cable.

It really is too bad all local decent small shops are gone. The last local electronics shop here in Utrecht closed like 5 years ago.

actives are apparently terrible

also bought a bridges, connectors, etc. mostly ok, on the level of the cheapest parts from thomann etc except twice as cheap.

All I can say is you'll always end up with what you pay for.
You buy cheap, expect cheap.
I guess it all depends on your desire to gamble.

Yes, but you can be strategic about it. For example, a regular jack isn't a big deal but a switching jack needs to make good connection to work. Also, you can buy branded items on Temu and they often cost only slightly more than the unbranded stuff. The Alpha 5-way switches I bought from Ali Express are exceptional.

I actually bought a tele style bridge for 10€ off Ali, and while it's not as well done and hefty as my Gotoh, it's perfectly stable and functional.

I'm a bit wary of going for tuners. I did buy one replacement tuner for a cheapo bass i have and it works fine

there's some things that aren't available easily elsewhere, i.e. copper colored hardware. Guyker stuff is super decent for the price too

Yes, tuners are a good example of when to spend more. Gotoh's aren't terribly expensive, anyway.

I found some AlNiCo V double rail humbucker in single coil size. They have quadruple rail humbuckers as well, it seems they are ceramic though. As the price is so low I thought I should try a few different types, I'm slightly concerned getting ceramic pickups though as I have quality brand ceramic pickups I don't really like the sound of

Seems Ali Express is more complicated to use over here, so I would prefer to use TEMU. Do you know which quadruple rail humbuckers you have, and if TEMU have them? Looks like they have much the same

For the single coils, the trick I’ve heard is to get as powerful as possible and then wire them in parallel. The actual output will matter more for this than the magnet type.

They had some fun looking uncut pick guard sheets at TEMU as well. I guess I'll look up some YouTube tutorials, if I can find any which doesn't include a lot of expensive tools. I wouldn't mind some advice if anyone has any experience though
