Hey, very glad you picked Rippler for this challenge, can't wait to listen to the productions.
Unfortunately I haven't upgrade this synth in a while and its still missing Pitch Bend and other features I had planned like sample based mallets.
There is a branch on github for the next version with a few extra models but its incomplete and experimental, I'll probably start a fresh new version and add those features I mentioned instead.

Anyway thanks again, I don't make music these days but hopefully you do :).

This is exciting: might be worth the wait!

If you aren't in the OSC Discord for more "real-time" discussion already, would you like to join?

Sure will, which server or how do I find it?

I'm away from home at the moment and don't have it on hand, but I'll reply again soon unless someone beats me to it.

Ftr it's usually available in other OSC threads, but only if you're willing to do a little digging.

Incidentally, I think Richard and/or BJ should put it on the site or announcements, lol

Checking it out - I like it! This feels rather retro, so I think I'll try this one for a 1999-style MIDI track.

It is worth noting that a number of improvements have been made during the past week, including: velocity mapping, pitch bend, additional models, ADR slope, Oscillator mix for the Noise impulse, and some bugfixes.

The latest version can be downloaded here (Fully compatible with earlier patches):

Huge thanks to awesome developer @tilr8

... great improvements! but
... now you can load any sample in .wav ... what does the rules say about?

The rules for samples have always been that you can only use what the synth comes with itself.

That specific update (loading your own samples) is just handy for cases beyond OSC 😉

Here is my submission for September. This is my second time submitting to this competition.

https://soundcloud.com/postulous/confrensic

I used 13 instances of RipplerX in Ableton Live.

For the tracks I used stock Ableton plugins: reverb, delay, compressor, multiband dynamics, and EQ eight.

And on the master bus I used Ableton's utility and multiband dynamics along with TDR Nova, Limiter6, and Youlean Loudness Meter.

Thanks for listening!

Thank you for the clarification.

Cool!

Not sure if I can participate for this month, but I will try! I have wanted to try this synth out for a while.
