Arturia Modular V Sequencer Trigger Problem

If i set the VCA trigger to sequencer start it just plays the sequence constantly, not when I press the keyboard. How do I stop this? I only want the sequence to start when I press a key not run all the time. I have looked at dozens fo videos and nothing explains this

I'm not really a modular synth guy at all, but I tried something after creating a new preset. After setting up some notes in the sequencer and no special trigger settings or cable connections etc., it seems to work ok here. It only plays the seq when I play a key.

On the left side of the sequencer panel is a section called oscillator, there you need to set the triggers for on and off by clicking on the small black button that opens a list of options. For what you are asking, you would set the ON button to "keyboard trigger on" and set the OFF button to "Keyboard trigger off".

In real life you'd use a logic gate to only process those triggers when there's a keyboard gate present. I know there's a way to do this with mod v but I haven't booted it up in ages.
