First of all: There are six quarks: up, down, charm, strange, bottom, and
top. However, only two quarks really play a role in our world. Which four
quarks are you naming with your song? The four that can only be created
with accelerators — charm, strange, bottom, and top? Mmm...
The song creates an abstract urban space, the sounds are super interesting
and well arranged - especially in the panorama! It has a consistent consistency
- and yet it is constantly changing - even with drums from about 2:00 min.
You have the feeling of stumbling through a completely unique world of beings
and devices. Mmmh yes - this is the absurdly strange world of high-energy
quarks!
Overall: Well done, a fantastic work. The song is fun to listen to. It's almost a
little short.

Strangely enough (pun intended), the title comes from Finnegan's Wake. "Three quarks for Muster Mark!". Although, I think he may have been referring to the dairy product. After several attempts, I have given up trying to read it. Now I use it as a source for obscure song titles. I changed it to 4 because it had more charm (another pun, I'll stop now).enroe wrote: Mon Sep 08, 2025 3:52 am First of all: There are six quarks: up, down, charm, strange, bottom, and

I really like your analysis. I've been trying to come up with something new and different. I enjoy techno/trance/EDM etc, but there are already many others doing it much better than me. I also like ambient, which seems to be popular. The thing is, I like when something evolves, and get bored with repetitive drones. I also like some heavy metal. I did something recently called "Runaway Train" which is my spin on heavy metal. Anyway, I'm still looking for something unique. It seems like everything has been done before. I doubt if "DCDM" will catch on, but I persevere. My wife tells me I probably won't be "discovered" until after I'm dead. I can hardly wait!
Thanks for listening and commenting. Much appreciated. Have a great day!

Very effective, constantly evolving soundscape - again very ''narrative'' for me...created images / ideas in my head.
Particularly enjoyed some of those complex yet delicate textures.
