This plugin was born from my daily work. As a game sound designer by trade, I've always wanted a faster and more intuitive way to automate playback speed for creating sound effects. Chronoform is the tool I always wished existed.

It's a varispeed processor that links playback speed and pitch, allowing for intuitive sound design by automating the playback speed. Furthermore, its unique auto-buffer-clear function enables responsive, real-time monitoring of the processed audio, making it ideal for Foley recording.

  • Playback speed control from 0.25x to 1.0x: Effortlessly create the essential pitch shifts needed for creature voices, magical sound effects, and more.
  • Auto Buffer Clear System: Instantly monitor your processed sound, for example at 0.5x speed, during Foley recording sessions to accelerate your workflow.
  • Sound Quality Control: Select the interpolation algorithm for lower speeds to switch between a noisy, characterful texture and a clean sound that is faithful to the original, depending on your creative needs.

Hello everyone,

I'd like to share an update on our product.
Last week, Chronoform was updated to version 1.1.0!

The biggest change in this update is the addition of AU and AAX format support for macOS.
This means that Chronoform is now available for users of Logic Pro and Pro Tools.

This update also includes the following:
  • Multichannel capabilities have been enhanced to support standard surround layouts required by Pro Tools, in addition to existing discrete channel support.
  • "Smooth Time" and "Smooth Type" parameters have been added to adjust the Play Rate parameter smoothing method.
  • Several bug fixes and stability improvements.
We have also created a new sound sample video showcasing what Chronoform can do.

Since the initial release, the plugin has been updated to v1.3.0. Here is a summary of the major features added since launch.
  • Implemented MIDI Learn (v.1.3.0): You can now right-click a parameter to link it to a MIDI CC.
  • Added Semitone Display Mode (v.1.2.0): The Play Rate can now be displayed and controlled in semitones (st) in addition to the multiplier (x).
