Because I haven't posted anything for a while this is just to let you know what I'm upto.

I've been rewriting SynthCraft to create multiple binary's for Windows, Linux and Mac from
a single source code repository. This will enable me to create cross platform versions of
SynthCraft and plugins very quickly. SynthCraft is also getting a face lift with the use
of Gui accelerated graphics.

As you can imagine all this takes time so please bear with me.

Regards
Kirsty :)

Good to know!! Happy to see SynthCraft hasn't been abandoned. A feature that would be greatly appreciated is the possibility to turn one's own patches into modules so as to be able to create more complicated patches involving those self created modules.

A while back I did dabble with a scripting engine whereby I could write a module in a C like text editor
directly inside SynthCraft just like the current one line function module but with multiple lines of code and a memory store accessing the built in Dsp/c compiler directly.
Quite similar to the old "FlowStone SynthMaker" code module.
I managed to create some very basic math modules with it. The concept was put aside, but when I
get a more advanced version of SynthCraft up and running I will revisit that code as it could make
for some very interesting add-on modules from both me and the community.

It's great to hear that it's alive and developing!

Does this mean that in the future we will potentially be able to compile versions of our plugins, created in SynthCraft on Windows, for Mac and Linux?

Thanks a lot for the heads up, I was indeed often lurking into your blogspot page to see any news...
looking forward next versions :-)

Essentially yes.

I'm attempting to create one single set of SynthCraft source code files which I can then easily compile into an universal binary for each platform.
So any SynthCraft binary running on Win/Lin/Mac will create identical plugins for Win/Lin/Mac.
I'm currently looking at Dear Imgui to handle the graphics but it's going to take some time to convert all
the current windows GDI code to OpenGL/Vulkan so please be patient.

I might post the latest Windows version I've been using sometime soon while I work on the other stuff.

- One binary. Three platforms.
- GPU accelerated graphics at 60fps.
- Resizable GUI's.
- Incredibly simple interface design.
- On module DSP parameter editing.
- Build native plugins to a single binary file.

I can't say exactly but it's nearly ready.

- I want to jazz up the graphics to look better.
- The code module still needs work.
- The Mac build has many issues. I might have to leave that one for later.
- My full time job is currently 6 days a week so finding time to work on SynthCraft is not easy.

Great that you can still find the time to work on it with such a busy job!

Will the SynthCraft-version that's nearly ready now be the first one that may be seen as complete and finished?
