This is probably a very simple question.....unfortunately I am a very simple guy, so the answer to this question has eluded me so far!
I am creating a simple single chord drone that I want to have playing constantly while I practice my scales on the guitar. I have created a drone that plays as a continuous tone within RC, but when I export it, it always has a bit of silence at the end, so when I play the wav file in media player, and set it to loop I get a few seconds of the tone, then about half a second or so of silence before it starts again.
I don't know why the silence is at the end. As I said, when I play the composition in RC it just plays as a constant unbroken tone. Not quite sure what I am doing wrong.
Exported audio has silence at the end

Hello Dr.Gerry,
welcome to this forum!
What you expect sounds logical, but at the end of the audio file there will always be a few seconds reserved for the decay of the last sound. Playback cannot simply be stopped abruptly without letting the sounds fade out. So that is the reason. As a solution, you can load the audio into Audacity and remove the extra seconds from the end.
Thanks,
Attila
