Any Tips for Building a Network in Music Technology at University?

I’ve been interested in music technology for about 2 years now, and I’m currently preparing to apply to a university program in music technology. I’d love to hear your advice: what should I focus on or do to build a strong network while at university?

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

When I read this I immediately thought it was a good idea. But then I remembered college was kind of a long time ago, and I wasn't sure they do this anymore. At least not everywhere.
