Building Your DIY Studio Setup

For me, I took my big wooden and tubular metal desk and mounted two TV swivel arm mounts and mounted two of them either end of the desk with a long flat piece of wood that I spray painted black. The arm mounts are locked in a natural position which don't need to move and leaves space for your other keyboard to sit underneath as well as on top. With another solid piece of wood, you can extend the main table using a couple of hinges and two L brackets. This allows you to support your lower tier keyboard as well as your qwerty keyboard and mouse. You can use some strong 4mm MDF to extend the front of the fold down desk part of it's too short. If you have more than two keyboards, you can use an adjustable metal shoe rack. In this case you will want two so you can place another piece of wood across to support the third keyboard on the second level that the keyboard will be placed. If you have three shoe racks and more wood, you can then make a raised platform in which to attach monitor mounts and have space for a small laptop as well. You will need a room that is about 4 meters or more in length to also include your chair you sit on. A small side desk to put your headphones on will also help. You can also, if you have room, mount your speakers on a wooden back panel. This will help keep your wires, rooters and plug sockets out of sight.
