Hey folks,

We’re excited to announce that FM Zone v2.0 is now available (free for existing customers). With this update, we’ve added some powerful new features and a new GUI option — here’s a rundown of what’s new:
  • New high-contrast Dark Mode GUI option, giving you an alternative to the existing orange skin.
  • Envelope Banks A & B for the nine multi-segment envelopes — you can now switch between two full sets of envelopes for each of the major controls. An intuitive way to add variation and expressiveness to your FM patches.
  • Expanded modulation assignability: you can now map the main Attack/Release envelope to additional parameters such as Spectrum, Timbre, Filter Cutoff and Level.
  • New behaviour where MIDI Note Off can stop MSEG (multi-segment envelope) playback — giving you tighter control over envelope behaviour, inspired by vintage synth hardware (Yamaha DX100, etc).
  • New reverb algorithms added to the effects section to widen the sonic palette.
As always, FM Zone combines a powerful FM engine (with multiple operator types such as FM, supersaw, additive, physical modelling, etc.) layered with a sample engine and a full bank of flexible multi-segment envelopes, all in one streamlined interface.

If you already own FM Zone, you can download Version 2.0 for free from the Toybox Audio site. New users can purchase V2 directly from the website:

Thanks!

Very nice, tho it melts my cpu at times (a modest cpu tbf). Still pretty cool. :tu:

Nice nifty update, thank you.

Great plugin, the only problem is its CPU consumption. Let's see if an update can fix that.

Yesterday evening, I just got my money back from PayPal after purchasing FM Zone a week ago. The plugin would not load in either FL Studio or Reaper, and ToyBox would not respond to my emails. If you look at their site they're still advertising a Christmas sale, which I did not notice at the time. It looks as though the owner has gone missing.
