Hey so, uh,
I have had 1.1.6 miniraze for a while, and ive been on ventura 13.7.8 on my mac a good couple months and used miniraze during that time both in the standalone app, and on garageband, with no issues at all.
But once I downloaded the 1.5 update, which im sure is awesome - I not only can't use it, I cant even go back to the version I had, for some reason, now.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yikes! A couple questions:
1. You can't open it at all? Standalone or the plugin won't launch? Or something else?
2. And reinstalling the v1.1.6 doesn't work for you? (sounds like you tried that)
One thing to try as a test would be to move the existing patch database and preferences, these are located in:
~/Library/Application Support/mok/miniraze. To keep your previous setup safe, you can just rename the miniraze folder to something else. Then running the Standalone app will recreate this data. If that allows you to launch, then it gives a clue to what might be happening.
Beyond, there are log files in ~/Library/Logs/mok, for both the installation and the runtime logs. Feel free to send those to info [a] mok [.] com --- I don't suggest posting them here, as they contain info about your account and machine.
You can also reach out via Discord, as we can chat there as well:

Same issue on iMac Pro 18 core running Sonoma, got a serious bug going on. I deleted original folder after installing several times, reinstalled again and still no joy. Not recognized in plugin manager Logic Pro after several attempts and reboot. Need to fix the installer me thinks ? Hope it can be sorted soon, was really looking forward to the new features.

Hey, so I was able to, once i deleted every thing, re install 1.1.6 . But yeah both standalone and plugin didn't load or were not recognized once i downloaded 1.5 so Im just staying at 1.1.6 until i figure things out.
Tomorrow I'll have a little time to sit down and try some of those things though. Thanks
[its tomorrow] - so, ok, i found out that 1.1.6 [what im using currently] only now shows up as standalone, not in the garageband / or tracktion waveform daws that i use.

Dealing with the same problem here. I'm using an Intel MacBook Pro, and I tried to do a clean install of Miniraze 1.1.6. After installing it, the standalone app appears to run normally and I can open the plugin in my DAW (Ableton Live 12). As soon as I upgrade to 1.5, though, everything stops working. The standalone version disappears and I have to dig around in there to find the Standalone version Icon, but when I try to open it, an error pops up saying that the app isn't designed to run on my Mac. If I try to access Miniraze 1.5 it through Ableton, it doesn't even show up in the plugin browser. It's not listed anywhere in the AU, VST2 or VST3 plugin list in Live's browsers. I can see the plugin sitting in the appropriate default plugin folders in the Finder, but it absolutely is nowhere to be found within my DAW plugin browser. I'm not sure what's gong on, but it would appear that this 1.5 update has made the plugin completely invisible and/or unusable, at least for people using Macs.

when i changed my Miniraze application in application support, to a different name, it rendered miniraze, when i attempted to reopen it, to 'not activated' again. then i entered my username etc and it works, as 1.1.6, on standalone, but my user patches seem gone, and it wont show up in the daw now. i made about 10-20 sounds or so. Which isnt a huge deal for me, im just trying to get the update and get the plugin back in the daw again. im sure im missing something

In addition to the 1.5 update not showing up in either Logic or Ableton, the standalone app won't open. I get the following note:
My tech specs:

Thanks everyone for the info... That is all really odd, as we have been testing for months on various Macs during development, so no idea what is going on... As always, if you need to send any personal info (not appropriate for the forum), feel free to ping me on Discord: https://discord.gg/QhbkKdfHJh

As for the patches, if you have the previous miniraze folder from Application Support/mok/, there is a "patch" folder inside that. You can copy that folder to the Application Support/mok/patch folder and those patches should get updated into the database the next time Miniraze runsFineSynth wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 3:33 pm when i changed my Miniraze application in application support, to a different name, it rendered miniraze, when i attempted to reopen it, to 'not activated' again. then i entered my username etc and it works, as 1.1.6, on standalone, but my user patches seem gone, and it wont show up in the daw now. i made about 10-20 sounds or so. Does anyone know if this has been fixed yet, or is the 1.5 update still broken? I'm dealing with too many other software issues right now to mess with this one.

Still no luck on my end. Running macOS 15.7.3 on an Intel MacBook Pro. The 1.5 update makes this product completely unusable in any way. It would be nice to know if MOK is looking into the issue at all, or are Mac users just out of luck and stuck using v1.1.6.
