Maybe it's my headphones but the mix appears to have no top end. It's all very mid range and muddy. You might want to run it through Voxengo Span (it's free) and check the upper frequencies. Also, the volume is a bit on the low side.
Brighten this up just a little bit and it will sound a lot better.

I think you are probably right about that. I was originally planning to post something else, but it wasn't ready. I just got in a mood to post something, so I looked at a few other things. This started with "A", so I didn't have to look very far. I created it about a year ago as sort of a joke. I just set a few levels and rendered it down in a few minutes. I'll come back with fresh ears in a few days and see if I can do anything with it.wagtunes wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 8:02 pm Maybe it's my headphones but the mix appears to have no top end. The title comes from a line in a song by the old psychedelic band Hawkwind. Do you remember them? I just did a search and it looks like they are still touring! I wonder if Miss Stacia is still dancing naked. I hope not.
City black encase the time
World full of men who all are blind
Who walk and talk and say as one
Androids are we, heir to no son
Adjust me
Adjust me
Adjust me
Adjust me
Adjust me
Adjust me
Adjust me
Adjust me
Adjust me
Adjust me

Are we all androids? The ones walking around here? Who really knows?
The song poses this question – and the question of adaptation. Hmm,
yes ...
The very short song – a kind of sound snippet with rhythm – poses the
question with "Adjust me." It all seems disturbing, chaotic, questioning –
like a wild scene in a dystopian film. Impressive, but it leaves many
questions unanswered. A truly powerful snippet!

I don't think we are androids. Rather, we are the products of the previous civilization. They created something similar to our "AI". Our current technology presents in 2 dimensional space, with sight and sound. Our ancestors, however, took it much further. They created complete individual universes for each of us. Occasionally they overlap like Venn diagrams. That's when things get interesting. We are told that there are over 8 billion people on the planet. That's not actually true. There are only several thousand of us. The rest are all just window dressing in our own individual, personal universes. As soon as you turn the corner, they cease to exist. Also, time is just an illusion. You may disagree and argue... I remember just yesterday I took out the garbage and talked to my neighbor. Those are just implanted memories. We only exist in the moment.enroe wrote: Tue Dec 09, 2025 7:01 am Are we all androids? The ones walking around here? Who really knows?![]()

This is all just my "theory" and I could be completely full of shit. I like to think about things like this. It helps to get into an altered state. Years ago, I had to spend money to do that. I have since discovered that I can achieve altered status by just thinking about it. I think to myself... I remember being really stoned that one time. The great thing about it is that there are no after effects like drinking alcohol. I wake up refreshed and ready for another virtual day.
I have been thinking about remixing this. Then again, that might be like polishing a turd. Maybe it's just supposed to be a bunch of noise. I need a cup of coffee. Have a great day!

Ah yes, I can see you've put a lot of thought into it.Paulieworld wrote: Tue Dec 09, 2025 2:15 pm ...
