I like it a lot. it has some unique features and it's a great simple beat slicer that is not that simple after all. Also extra points for the support - I reported a bug yesterday and it was fixed today. Recommended to anyone into slicing/loop mangling/glitching.

Thanks, this is great. The free version is great, but the sample folder scrolling works better in the paid version.

From a subreddit:
Also someone asked how it compares to Amigo Sampler. I have no clue, but now I'm wondering what features Amenbreak might have in comparison.
Anyone know how accurate this is?Note that this is based on (or at least derived from) Ectocore, which they essentially abandoned in a problematic state, so if it works for you then great but if it doesn't then don't expect it to get fixed.

Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

The Amigo comparison is not accurate. Just install the demo, it gives you 90% of the full version and doesn't time out.

Amigo has a simple & cool beat slicer but that's the only thing they have in common. Amigo is mostly an Amiga emulation and AMENBREAK has much more sample mangling options, for example you can randomize the loops that it plays from the same folder and much much more. The free version is cool but it has a nag screen about registering that pops up every time you open the GUI, so I just bought it

Just two posts before yours someone said that they mentioned a bug and it got fixed quickly, so... maybe it's accurate for the hardware unit but this is not that.Dirtgrain wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 11:39 pmAnyone know how accurate this is?N... if it doesn't then don't expect it to get fixed.
I would say that Amigo is an emulator that happens to have some rudimentary slicey functions and AMENBREAK is a slicer/dicer that has some effects.Dirtgrain wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 11:39 pm Also someone asked how it compares to Amigo Sampler. Looks good. I threw a boring bass loop into it and came up with something groovy. I could then record it into Toontrack EZbass.

having lots of fun with it.
seems that some of the bugs disappear when authorised, but still a few bugs.
the dev's timeline shows quite a bit of work over the last week or two.
It's good to see. I actually just went through a folder of funk breaks and got it all ready for this plugin. It seems that midi controlled madness is the way to go, has anyone recorded automation and played it back in a project with this? I think i'll be rendering a few long jams and cutting them up.
best $20 bucks i ever spent
probably

I actually emailed them about this as Recycle is now free which makes Stylus very relevant for breaks and other high tempo slicing. I got a response which was cool but no actual info on the RMX future plans.koalaboy wrote: Sun Dec 14, 2025 11:54 am Reminds me how much I wish Spectrasonics would launch an updates StylusRMX.

I got an incredibly loud white noise blast the first time I opened it up.pekbro wrote: Sun Dec 14, 2025 7:07 pm He should probably consider putting a limiter in this... +268db spikes heh
