I noticed somebody mention the East West Bosendorfer Kontact thingy. Well it is probably from the same stock as their original samples that I have for their Gigasampler version ?

But really my friends Yamaha electric "real" piano sounds more "piano" that the mega libraries I have so far heard. This is probably because they do not just consider the sounds for the complete solution, but also consider the type of speakers, setup of the speakers, amplifier and keyboard actions, all tuned to their stock sample set. So consider this when trying to obtain your "piano goal".

Hey maybe this Ivory thing with its 5:1 piano will sound great, too bad I expect not many of us have the ability for a 5:1 system with asio.

Disco Sucks.

OT but perhaps useful: you can improve the sound of many pianos by feeding their output through PSP PianoVerb (free from the guys who make PSP Vintage Warmer). It's a reverb made from twelve modelled tuned-string resonators, one per pitch in a TET octave.

It's even an exciting shade of yellow, so there's nothing bad to say about it. :-)
