Melodic Techno by NatLife for Omnisphere 3 is a masterwork resulting from a month of relentless sound engineering. I pushed the engine into territory it was never meant to reach. Consequently, I forced the synth to produce a sound it wasn’t originally designed for. In fact, I taught the engine to reach a level of punch that matches Afterlife, Rose Avenue, and Cercle standards.
Hardware-Driven Engineering
I didn’t just use a mouse to achieve this professional result. Instead, I integrated three hardware rack powerhouses: Novation Peak, Virus B, and Deepmind 12D. Furthermore, I used these machines as physical interfaces to modulate the engine.
Similarly, I performed every patch using real knobs to capture organic modulation. This approach creates textures reminiscent of Stephan Bodzin’s legendary analog sound. Although I faced a massive technical struggle, the final result ensures that every rhythmic movement hits with maximum impact. In addition, this hardware integration gives the sounds a unique, “breathing” character.
