honestly.

I still tried The Herd. Eventhough the latest Safari releases were :scared: :neutral: . And I gotta say I like the Opto part and the TiltEQ especially.

The TiltEQ is REALLY nice :tu: . It has a very pre-set or rather sculpted sound. When boosting the lows, it does the pultec thing and cuts the low mids. It's a cool thing to have on a drum bus or something. Not really for transparent tilting though....

The Opto comp is also really nice and everything is so quick to set up.

I think the immediacy of the results is what I like most about this.

Just using the Opto mode, the Tone control and the Attack and Release knobs (which don't travel far in either direction) there's not much you can do wrong. Easy and quick. Unfortunately no oversampling option.

it helps that it was basically free I guess.

Not free here. I own all their other plugs and the cost to buy this went way outside the no brainer pricing of their other releases. That's broken the chain for me. I probably won't purchase any more of their wares from now on. I have a whole zoo full of their stuff already.

Update: I sent a message to their support in case I missed a coupon. Definitely not purchasing at the 'deal' price they sent me initially.

didn't mean to imply that it was free....

I meant it was basically free because I could upgrade to the latest version of the everything bundle for a VERY small fee.

Have you tried logging-in to your account and clicking on "your loyalty upgrade offer" ?

Something is wrong with their upgrade pricing. I hadn’t bought any of their newer ones because the prices for new plugins was all over the place and I no longer had a an upgrade path to the latest everything bundle until today.

This one looks fun.
