E-Compressor600 is an advanced JSFX compressor plugin that features both downward and upward compression modes. The downward compression mode can be used to control peaks or loud signals, tame transients, glue mix elements together, and for downward parallel compression. The upward compression mode can be used to lift up buried details in mixes such as room ambience or reverb, enhance the tail of instruments without crushing the peaks, and for upward parallel compression.
You can grab it for $14. Visit the Gumroad page for a detailed list of features and to explore audio demos of what the plugin can do.

Hi, late in posting but I updated the plugin on 21st January, 2026 with the following changes:
1. Made GUI buttons backward compatible in older REAPER versions. As a result, the plugin graphics now compile correctly in older versions of REAPER without affecting newer versions. Also, this doesn't affect the underlying audio processing code of the plugin; the older and new version null 100% in a null test.

This can be used as a de-esser when the "Detection HPF" control is set to 4500 Hz. Like this compressor, using a compressor with internal sidechain filters for de-essing sounds natural to my ears than using de-essers that use dynamic EQ approach.

Update:
1. Added "Mid" and "Side" detection channel modes. You can now use the level of the mid or side signal as the detection level.
2. Fixed smoothing of "Filter Preview" button not functioning. When clicked, it now smoothly switches from the main audio to the filter preview without clicks or pops.
