I love DynAssist from NoiseWorks, but this new plugin is on another level. I demoed it and purchased it immediately. This is exactly how AI should be used, handling monotonous, boring cleanup tasks and fixing the tedious stuff.
I’m very, very impressed.

Do you perhaps happen to be able to compare the noise/reverb/cleanup functions to Hush or Hush Pro? I wonder if VoiceAssist can give the same quality as Hush (Pro) + DynAssist but I haven't purchased Hush Pro yet to test myself (and can't trial it anymore).Emphatic3302 wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 2:04 am I love DynAssist from NoiseWorks, but this new plugin is on another level. Yeah, I was stoked about this. But damn, I just bought DynAssist, and now need to spend $100 to upgrade when I could have just waited and gotten VoiceAssist had I known they were going to release it 2 months later?Kretch wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 11:03 am As good as it is, the 99 upgrade cost was a bit too much from DynAssist. Half of that would have been more acceptable for me.
Noiseworks is doing some really innovative stuff, but the overlap in their product suite is pretty obnoxious. It's like they have one product and every time they build a new feature for it they release the 'upgrade' as a separate plugin. Not a fan of that.
Totally agree.Emphatic3302 wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 2:04 am This is exactly how AI should be used, handling monotonous, boring cleanup tasks and fixing the tedious stuff.

They've certainly lost me as a customer. That and the single computer license. No way I'd upgrade.billinder33 wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 12:20 pm Yeah, I was stoked about this. I upgraded blindly without testing it out (because DynAssist is really useful).
Unfortunately they've removed the ability to record audio in (for non-ARA hosts), so you can't use the plugin in Logic - you have to use the standalone application. That's not really a whole lot of use for vocals, because you really need to hear what you're doing against the rest of the song (especially for setting up vocal riding and gating etc).
I am going to continue to use DynAssist and hope they re-introduce the ability to use the plugin without using ARA in the next versions of VoiceAssist. A bit sad because their plugins are great.

Holy smokes I'm glad you posted this. Was planning to upgrade as well but Bitwig doesn't support ARA either, so without a transfer function, this would have been useless.counterparty wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 10:57 pm I upgraded blindly without testing it out (because DynAssist is really useful).

This is a very good and groundbreaking product. I believe it will become my go-to tool going forward.
However, I’m currently experiencing a noise issue.
Even when I turn all modules off, a slight noise is still present.
When I turn each module on, I hear noise that seems to correspond to that module.
The noise varies—from something close to white noise to a “tick tick tick” type noise.
When I turn all modules on, the noise becomes far too loud.
Also, this happens even if I disable any processing that is supposed to add/enhance sound, such as Recover Highs.
In other words, it’s not the intended effect or coloration the product is designed to add—this is clearly unintended noise being introduced.
In my environment, I can reproduce this every time.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

I use Live so it’s a no from me. I love DynAssist, just wish Live would incorporate ARA or whatever it’s called.

They've done something sensible and split Voice Assist into three separate pricing tiers:
Basic - dynamics only ($49)
Standard - dynamics, gate, breath control, and sibilance control ($149)
Advanced - same as previous full version ($299)
However, DynAssist is now gone (along with the instrument option) and has been replaced by VA. I was about ready to take the Standard plunge, but I'm seeing reports on GS that several Mac users had their system bricked during installation - wth Noiseworks?! This company really needs to get its act together.

I had DynAssist and upgraded to VoiceAssist. I work with a lot of imperfect vocal stems and samples and this does a great job of cleaning up excessive reverbs and delays in cases where I can't get to the pre-FX original. Very nice!
I've not found anything else like this on the market. Not cheap but definitely worth the money if you value the time savings from manually cleaning up vox.
