”Unseen” is a larger production piece (at least for me) which a number of synth and guitar tracks. I built the piece from bass tracks (played on a Bass Harpejji Half Fretless) except for the intro and middle sections which started with the piano part. Other instruments include an ASM Hydrasynth, Absynth 6, Haken Audio Continuumini, guitar (processed through UAD Paradise Guitar Studio and ToneX for one track), Organ (Yamaha YC61), Zendrum (GGD Matt Garstka Signature Drums). Everything was played in real time although I did tweak the drum tracks in spots to fix issues.

Wonderfully controlled chaos, which kept my attention for the full duration. I like the use of dissonance...it felt like it was all going to fall apart at any moment...in a good way. Reminds me of a performance by miles davis, chic corea et al during his cocaine and acid fuelled electric phase.

I saw Jcub had new track and I just had to listen to it.
You are my new hero.
Okay, I guess I should say something about the track itself. Hmmm, let's see.
Brilliant? Does that work for you?
This piece reminds me of so many people I wouldn't know where to start.
Bravo. Take a bow.

Oh yes – a beautiful jazz-rock instrumental. You can definitely tell that
the bass was the first element. As the foundation for everything, it sounds
fantastic, subtly setting the groove.
The short guitar solo at about 1:40 briefly changes the feeling, after which
the track becomes a little calmer - until an 8th note piano break at 2:30.
It's wonderful to hear how the individual parts and instruments fit together.
There's almost nothing predictable.
Unseen: Very unique, beautiful to listen to!

Thanks very much - this piece was fueled with tea and water. Miles Davis was my first concert but I was too young to go see him when Chick played with him.frank1985 wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 10:29 pm Wonderfully controlled chaos, which kept my attention for the full duration. Thanks very much! I appreciate it. These pieces usually start with one or two ideas and then they just take a life of their own.wagtunes wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 4:04 am I saw Jcub had new track and I just had to listen to it.

Thanks very much! I have spent more time lately on arrangements to try and maintain some interest by bringing instruments and parts in and out.enroe wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 7:14 am Oh yes – a beautiful jazz-rock instrumental. You can definitely tell that
