MX88 no MIDI in W11 242H

It shows up under Device Manager, but no MIDI inputs are available in either Multitrackrecorder or Waveform 12. The MX88 is fine and appears in macOS immediately.

I've read of problems with W11 enumerating MIDI, but geez Louise... I'd forgotten how elegant MIDI and audio are on macOS.

Any ideas? I've tried different drivers (the MIDI driver will not install -- I don't think it's meant for the MX88.)
