I’m super excited to share my take on the Stargate 626. I’ve been working really hard on this, and it’s been a deep dive into the original digital logic and design of this rare unit.
I know KVR user krabbencutter (Greybox Audio) recently updated his version to include 626 features as well—he’s been great to chat with during my development. It’s a great time for the community to have two different perspectives on the Stargate available at once.
One of my main goals was to provide a 1:1 user experience. While other versions take a more modern approach to the layout, I wanted to stay faithful to the original hardware interface. If you know the original unit, you’ll feel at home.
Beyond the UI, I focused on a precise recreation of the digital signal path. I spent time studying the schematics and simulating the circuit in Logisim and Python to ensure the DSP behavior and algorithms are spot on.
While other emulations focus on modeling vintage analog character, noise, and component aging, my version is focused strictly on the "digital soul" of the unit. I didn't add saturation or analog artifacts; instead, you'll get a clean, mathematically accurate recreation of the original logic. Like my SST-206 plugin, I wanted to provide the cleanest possible "direct-out" experience of these classic algorithms.
Features:
- Rebuilt from the ground up via circuit simulation for maximum accuracy.
No added analog noise or distortion—just the original DSP as intended.
- A faithful recreation of the original Stargate 626 interface.
- Full 626 Program Set: Includes the 8 additional programs and doubled
memory not found on the 323.

I've released an update to the URSA Major Space Station 626 Plugin. Version v1.0.6 increases the decay times and echos to hardware specifications. It also fixes issues with the display and front-panel buttons. The video above has been updated to show how it sounds. Thank you KVRAudio!
