This goes out to anyone who has got their mitts on Acid Pro 5. I was wondering if the record dialog box has been done away with. My biggest pet peeve with Acid is the fact that once you have enabled record it locks out the entire interface. The Sony site does not discuss this so I am wondering has it been banished, inmproved etc.
Also, is the VST handling improved (not hard!) over Acid 4.
Thanks!

Nope, same as ACID PRO 4.JEMSKIJEMSKI wrote:This goes out to anyone who has got their mitts on Acid Pro 5. I was wondering if the record dialog box has been done away with.
VST effects are now supported, I haven't used VST instruments or effects in the demo enough to comment on general handling. Also, is the VST handling improved (not hard!) over Acid 4.
BTW, the ACID PRO 5 demo can be installed along side ACID PRO 4.

On further use of the ACID PRO 5 demo, I can't find any way to automate the effects parameters in the send channels (assignable effects) only the "send level" from each track. Seems like a strange feature to miss.
EDIT: Also, it crashes when trying to load various VST effects plugins, and there is no way to use VST plugins with MIDI out.
