Wagtunes/DCrown...Production Round Table

I came up with the idea to have kind of a round table to discuss production techniques so that we can get the most out of our productions. Everyone is welcome to join in.
I will simply start out by saying that I am no expert. I am still learning. To that end, I think, thanks to the many talented people here, that I have improved a lot since I first got here.
To illustrate that...
Here's one of my early tracks since starting ITB productions using Cubase 7.

Now here's one of my more recent tracks.

Quite a difference, wouldn't you say?
Anyway, DCrown, I'm leaving the ball in your court. For everyone else, DCrown and I have very different approaches to production. He's more old school Prince and I'm, well, I'm kind of all over the place. I'm sure we can all learn from each other. No subject is off limits as long as it has something to do with production.
DCrown, take it away, I'm ready to learn something.

First! haha
I go to sleep now. Good night.
Oh, Cubase! Fine.
I think every daw is fine, everyone should use what he likes.
Btw I am no mister know it all, I have some experience and do know what works best for me.
So, let us not consider whether AI or not here, you use it only for vocals, ok, that's not an overdose like a full ai production.
You sing yourself and then you transform your voice into a different voice, right?
Post your funky track here again, do you remember? It was with guitar. Would like to listen tomorrow again. I think gain staging could be an interesting topic for you - underrated!
Btw you always learn your whole life, I know you know that, I will for sure learn from you, as well.
Yes, the difference is obvious!

Grizzellda posted that he or she? wants to improve his/her vocals and maybe also interested how to record vocals - lead and background vocals.
So let us start with vocals.

This is an example how I record lead and background vocals.
I have a master vocal bus with Vocal lead bus and 2 tracks and background vocal bus with 4 panned tracks. I explain everything on the audio I recorded.
Vocals are dry only LA3a on Vocal master bus and LC at 49Hz. Vocal mic Rode NT1, interface RME.
I sing to a simple track I recorded
drums are Atlas and LA3a, Fender Precision bass + Ampeg emu + Eventide phaser + LA3a, Fender Stratocaster guitar Helix native with LA2a included.
I hope you like it
