Well I don't know how you fused texas blues with dubstep and drum and bass but you did, and did it well... what are you using for your synths?

Thanks! This is a remix of something I did about 4 years ago. My "workflow" involves routing things into Cubasis through AUM. As a result, every track is named Kymatica by default, so I lose track of that information. I'm too lazy to fix it! The guitar parts are clipped from some old samples of a friend playing his guitar. I just cut them up, arranged them on the timeline, and added some standard effects. I figured out what key they were in and just started adding bass, drums, and other assorted stuff. I think I have close to a hundred synth apps. After a while I stopped buying them because they all do pretty much the same thing. I like the way you described this! Have a great day.

Yeah I like trying new synths but you're right that they all do pretty much the same things.... I can get by with only omnisphere.

Anyway, it's a banging tune, I've listened about five times now .... I actually like that cut up/sampled effect on the guitar and am thinking of applying it to some of my own solos

Wow, 5 times! That's quite a compliment. Thank you very much. I use that technique a lot since I don't use any external instruments or controllers. Ironically, I played in bands for most of my life, piano and bass. I gave up the weekend warrior stuff in 2004. A few years ago, my wife told me that I needed to get some music back into my life, so I started this iPad stuff. It's been good for my head and well being.

I used the same approach with some sax parts in a few recent tracks. I don't play sax, but I want some in my music. I found some good source material and I cut it up and pasted it. It was fun and I think it turned out fairly believable. Those tracks are on my SoundCloud page near the top under the Spotlight. One is called "Play Something Tragic", and the other is "Brighto" (named after the 3 Stooges bit). I would love to hear your thought on the end results. Do they sound realistic?

What a listen...went in expecting a bit of southern blues or similar...first few bars backed that up...

And then...

Quite the journey that listen...quite the journey indeed!

Not quite sure how it works or why it works...but work, it does!

It was a bit of a journey for me, too, but I never left my comfy chair! Thanks for listening.
