About the Engine
Supreme Drums Epic V2 is a hybrid modeling drum engine rather than a traditional sample playback system. It renders round-robin variations dynamically and supports extremely high dynamic resolution via MIDI 2.0.
The goal was to keep the realism of a large sample library while reducing footprint and improving playability. The original source recordings were 87GB; the final instrument is only 670MB.
