Nice one, Peter is at it again! Dawesome Music is releasing LOVE 2, an upgraded version of their lush, granular effect. Here are the specifications from https://www.dawesomemusic.com/plugins/love-2/

Musically tuned granular engine
6 freely configurable effect slots
20+ curated sound modules
Drag-and-drop signal flow
Per-module sub-presets
Intelligent randomization with module lock
250+ factory presets
Import presets from LOVE 1
VST3 / AU / AAX for macOS & Windows

The price is $49 or $19 to upgrade from version 1. That’s an excellent price for what you get. I love (pun intended) the randomization with module lock, the module sub presets, and the UI is very attractive, like all of the Dawesome plug-ins. Go check it out!! :tu:

Nice, I will definitely upgrade. More fx and being able to reorder them will be nice

This plug doesn't seem old or maintained enough for this to be a paid version upgrade.
Tangled roots perplex her ways.

Wow, this is one of the bigger upgrades to a plugin I've seen in a while. Definitely looking forward to demoing it, even though I have a big feeling I'll end up buying it sooner or later.

and not linux :(

What was upgraded from Love 1 to Love 2?

too niche, not worth it

It would totally be worth it and an instant buy if his catalog had native Linux. But at this point, I'll wait to see how it prices during a sale before deciding whether to buy or not.
Dawesome is great, but it is a niche product line to me. Making it three OS will only increase its customer base and make it more mainstream.

Hmm, don’t really use ver 1 overly myself. Will have to demo.

Did they finally add LFO/MSEG modulators?

IIRC that's the reason I didn't buy when it was originally released.

There is no modulation system in Love 2. I once read in a thread about Dawesome´s Hate plugin that having no modulation system is design choice by Dawesome. So I guess it's the same with Love 2. I don't like having no modulation in such plugins.

As always, Chris aka S1gns Of L1fe has created a great video demo that features an overview of LOVE 2’s functionality.

I really like his positive attitude and approach to making content that’s both entertaining, and knowledgeable.

He can make complicated production topics easy to understand, and he does it in a way that I find to be very inspirational.

In a sea of granular plug-ins that are available right now, LOVE 2 is simple and quick to use, and the sound quality is phenomenal.

It fits in nicely with the entire Dawesome lineup, especially for those who want epic soundscapes and atmospheres with a minimal amount of menu diving.

Thank you so much! Even I wasn't expecting Love 2. They took the best parts of the original Love and their distortion module Hate and made an entirely new plugin experience.

No it doesn't have it's own internal modulation, but if you really need to modulate something you can easily use automation in your DAW, as I showed in the video.

Cheers to you! :tu:

This is shimmer in a thousand vartiations.
The overall sound is jaw dropping.
To me these days it is important that a new plugin hits some nerves with me. This one does that.
We heard so many delays, reverbs, chorus etc before.
But to get good results that are just sounding great with a few knobs on the single modules makes quite a difference.
J-60 Chorus, yeah, heard that before. But this one sounds great.
Plate reverb, yeah, got several. And this one sounds good.
Loophole delay, what is that? I dunno but it sounds amazing and has a few knobs which give me a good variety of usable sounds.
And on and on.
Tons of tasty presets.
Beautiful interface.
Yeah, you guessed it, I like that thing. :hihi:

Has anyone compared its granular engine to FRCTL Audio's GRN 2?
